A Greeting From Our Pastor

Friends,

What a joy it is for Leanne and me to share with you the new opportunity our Lord has entrusted us in planting a new church on
the Westside in Jacksonville; we know without a doubt this is a continuation of our forty six years of service to Him and a
fulfillment of His plan for our lives.

So if you are considering a new church experience and place of worship, we cordially invite you to visit us at the First Baptist
Church West Jacksonville. Our church is located at 1320 Chaffee Road South, just south of I-10 on Chaffee Road past Crystal Springs Road; more than ample parking is available at close proximity to our worship center.
On Sunday mornings we have Sunday school at 9:00AM, followed by our worship service at 10:00AM. On Wednesday evenings we have a Bible study and prayertime at 7:00PM.

The theme for our church is "A Training Ground For Christian Living" and our plan is to fulfill that motto in teaching God's Word
to all ages in ways that leads to perpetual spiritual growth. Our foundational Scripture verse from the Lord in II Chronicles 7:14
says "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked
ways; then will I hear from heaven, and forgive their sin, and will heal their land." It's my desire that this promise from our
Heavenly Father will be the basis for a daily call of commitment from me and our congregation.

So if you're interested in Traditional Worship with sound Bible Teaching and Great Evangelistic Southern Gospel Music, we invite you to "Come And See" for yourself how God is blessing in our services. We are high-tech in many ways while not compromising the movement of the Holy Spirit. Our priorities are simply to see people come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and to provide the opportunity for each member, regardless of age, to continue
on the path of spiritual growth.

Now if you have a church home and are active and growing in the Lord, as brothers and sisters in Christ, let's be vigilant about
praying for one another as we individually and collectively strive to do our Father's work by giving Him our best.

May God richly bless you!
